What is the Beta Test?
We often get asked what our Beta Test is and how someone can participate. First, let's discuss the purpose of the Beta Test and why we do it.

The Beta Test is the final step in Birt Guitars model development process. As we develop new guitar models, a significant amount of time is spent on the design and purpose of the instrument. We don't develop a single guitar designed for everyone, we design with intent around what type of guitarist would use it. As we develop these models, we want to get feedback from you, the guitarists out there. We've made our best effort to make a perfect instrument for a specific group, but we value the input of musicians and modify the models prior to final production runs based on the feedback we receive.
Do I get a free guitar?
In short, no. For this run of guitars we will work with you directly to take our production model and customize it to your specs. While it will be our design, everything from the wood, electronics, neck profile, and much more will be to your specs. We significantly discount these models, however we do charge for them.
What does Birt Guitars ask me to do?
There are a few things that we ask in return for these guitars. First and foremost is feedback. We'll stay in close contact for several weeks after you receive your guitar to get your input on the design, features, and where improvements can be made. In addition, we ask for your candid reviews so we can add them to our site. We also ask for content such as videos or recordings that we can use.
What if your current design doesn't fit my playing style?
One of our biggest priorities is that every musician with a Birt Guitar absolutely loves their instrument. We want it to become the #1 choice out of every guitar in their arsenal. We know that not every design will suit every guitarist and we'll be honest if we don't think our current Beta Test is right for you. We will also keep your information on hand as we have several models slated for production. If we have a model in development that we think will be a great fit for you, we'll contact you to see if you're interested in working together on your customized model.
